Module Overview
In this module students will improve the navigation structures for The Striped Umbrella, Blooms and Bulbs, and their personal website by creating internal links, external links, Spry menu bars, and image maps.

Activities
Authentic:
As an intern at Bishop Company, students will improve the navigational structure of three websites. The navigation structures will include named anchors, internal links, external links, Spry menu bars, and image maps.

Background Building:
Activity 1- By completing Dreamweaver Unit F, pages 131 through 153, students will improve the navigational structure of The Striped Umbrella website. They will create a new page with external links, named anchors and internal links on the spa page, a Spry menu bar with links to all pages on the website, and a hotspot on the Striped Umbrella banner with a link to the home page of the site.
Activity 2- By completing Skills Review F on Dreamweaver CS6 pages 155 through 158, students will improve the navigational structure of the Blooms and Bulbs website. They will create a new page with external links, named anchors and internal links on the newsletter page, a Spry menu bar with links to all pages on the website, and a hotspot on the Blooms and Bulb banner, with a link to the home page.
Activity 3 - Students will complete the quiz for Dreamweaver chapter F.

Constructing:
Students will improve the navigational structure of their original website. The new structure will include a navigation bar with links to all of the pages in the site, links to major headings on any individual pages, a link to the home page from the company logo, and external links to any sites that might be relevant to the site.

Sharing:
Mentors have access to all student files through the shared Web Page Design folder on Google drive.

Prompts and Potential Problems
Make sure students understand the difference between an absolute and relative link.

Background Building Activity 1: Check for a Spry menu on all pages of the Striped Umbrella website, a hotspot on the Striped Umbrella banner, and all links on the activities web page.
